Trudy, Copella Here Comes Trouble, finished her championship at the Southeast Arkansas Kennel Club show in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on Sunday, February 7, under AKC judge Carolyn Herbel.  Trudy has been exclusively handled by her owner, Ashley Grissom.  Trudy is co-owned by Ashley, Shirley Horn, and Copella.

AJ, Copella Another Cause For Applause, was winners dog and best of winners at the Southeast Arkansas Kennel Club show on Sunday, February 7.  AJ is owned by Shirley Hall and Copella.  AJ was reserve winners dog on February 6.  Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was best of opposite on both days of this show.

January 2010

Macy, Copella Namaste Texas Attraction, was winners bitch and best of winners at the Ventura, California show on Sunday, January 24.  The judge was Ms. Peggy Otero.  Macy is owned by Elizabeth Wright and Copella.

Twiggles, Namaste Copella Next Top Model, won a four point major at the Nolan River KC in Glen Rose, Texas on January 9.  The judge was Mr. Michael Heflin.  Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was best opposite.  Conner, Zelicaon Copella Fear This, won the breed and group two at the B Match.  Conner is owned by Linda Jones and Jeanie Schmidt.  In California, Macy, Copella Namaste Texas Attraction, won a four point major.  Macy is owned by Elizabeth Wright.  On January 10, Natalie, Copella National Treasure, owned by Madge Billings, was reserve winners bitch to a four point major.  Peyton was best opposite.  The judge was Mr. Malcolm Moore.

Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was best of breed at Jackson, Mississippi on December 12.  The judge was Mrs. Anne Hearn.  Macy, Copella Namaste Texas Attraction, was winners bitch.  Macy is owned by Elizabeth Wright and Copella.  AJ, Copella Another Cause for Applause, was best puppy and placed third in the toy puppy group.  AJ is owned by Shirley Hall and Copella.  Trudy, Copella Here Comes Trouble, was reserve winners bitch.  Trudy is owned by Ashley Grissom, Shirley Horn and Copella.

Dylan, BIS BISS Namaste Another Roadside Attraction, won an award of excellence at the Eukanuba National Championship in Long Beach, California, on December 12.

Twiggy, Namaste Copella Next Top Model, was winners bitch and best of winners at Jackson, Mississippi on December 11.  The judge was Mr. Jim Briley.  Twiggy was also best bred by exhibitor.  She won the toy group and did very well in the best in show competition.  Macy, Copella Namaste Texas Attraction, was reserve winners bitch.  Macy is owned by Elizabeth Wright and Copella.

Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was best of breed and group two at Jackson, Mississippi on December 10.  The judge was Mr. Richard Mullen.  Twiggy, Namaste Copella Next Top Model, was winners bitch, best of winners and best of opposite.  Uno, Copella Namaste Lone Star Attraction, placed second in the toy group at the B match that evening.

Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was the best of breed winner at the Northwest Arkansas Kennel Club show on December 5, 2009, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  The judge was Mr. Don Rogers.  Twiggy, Namaste Copella Next Top Model, won the bred by class and was reserve winners bitch.  AJ, Copella Another Cause For Applause, won the bred by dog class.

Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was the best of breed winner at the Northwest Arkansas Kennel Club show in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on December 6, 2009.  The judge was Ms. Christine Anderson.

Twiggy, Namaste Copella Next Top Model, was winners bitch, best bred by and bred by group 2 at the Conroe Kennel Club show in Conroe, Texas on November 28.  Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was best of breed.  The judge was Mrs. Doris Cozart.  Uno, Copella Namaste Lone Star Attraction, won best in match at the fun match.

Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was best of breed on November 29 at Conroe, Texas.  The judge was Mrs. Gloria Geringer.  Twiggy, Namaste Copella Next Top Model, was reserve winners bitch.  AJ, Copella Another Cause For Applause, was reserve winners dog.

Macy, Copella Namaste Texas Attraction, was winners bitch, best of winners and best of breed in Chickasha, Oklahoma, on November 14.  Macy is owned by Liz Wright and Copella.  Maverick, Crown Jewels Royal Commander, was winners dog and best of opposite.  Maverick is owned by Bill and Sally Baccus, bred by Joe and Shay Pask Van.  Both dogs were sired by our Dylan, BIS BISS CH Namaste Another Roadside Attraction.

Bear, Zelicaon Honey Bear Amanti, was winners dog for a five point major at the Ozarks Kennel Club show on November 7 in Springfield, Missouri.  The judge was Mrs. Carol Jean Nelson.  Trudy, Copella Here Comes Trouble, was winners bitch and best of winners for a five point major.  AJ, Copella Another Cause for Applause, was reserve winners dog.  Macy, Copella Namaste Texas Attraction, was reserve winners bitch.  Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was best of opposite.  All were sired by Dylan, BIS BISS CH Namaste Another Roadside Attraction.

Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was best of breed at the Saline County KC show under AKC judge William Cunningham on October 25.  Trudy, Copella Here Comes Trouble was Winners Bitch.  Bear, Zelicaon Honey Bear Amanti, was Winners Dog and Best of Winners.  All three were sired by Dylan, BIS BISS CH Namaste Another Roadside Attraction.  Ace, CH Meley's Wise Prince of Troy Connection became a Sire of Merit as his fifth champion offspring completed his title.

Gunner, Copella Armed And Dangerous, was winners dog at the Arkansas Kennel Club show in Little Rock, Arkansas on Sunday, August 9.  The judge was Mrs. Karen McFarlane.  Trudy, Copella Here Comes Trouble, was winners bitch and best of winners.  Trudy is owned by Ashley Grissom and Shirley Horn.  Trudy and Gunner are litter mates and this was their first birthday. Copella Here Comes Trouble, Trudy, was winners bitch and best of winners at the Arkansas Kennel Club show in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday, August 8.  The judge was Mr. John Ramirez.  Trudy is owned by Ashley Grissom and Shirley Horn.  Boytoy, Prana Copella Brace For Impact, was reserve winners dog.  Boytoy is owned by Jeanie Schmidt.

July 2009

It was a weekend of reserves at the Longview Kennel Club show.  Gunner, Copella Armed And Dangerous, was reserve winners dog.  Natalie, Copella National Treasure, was reserve winners bitch.  Natalie is owned by Margaret Billings.  Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was best opposite.  This was all on Saturday, July 25.  On Sunday, Peyton was again best opposite.  Trudy, Copella Here Comes Trouble, owned by Ashley Grissom and Shirley Horn, was reserve winners bitch.

Horns Royal USA Attraction finished her championship title in Southaven, MS under AKC judge Thomas Kilcullen on July 11.  She was bred and is owned by Shirley Horn.  She was sired by our champion, Dylan, BIS BISS CH Namaste Another Roadside Attraction.  This made Dylan a Sire of Merit.  Trudy, Copella Here Comes Trouble, owned by Ashley Grissom and Shirley Horn, was reserve winners bitch.  Trudy is a Dylan daughter.  Gunner, Copella Armed and Dangerous was reserve winners dog.  Gunner is a Dylan son.  On July 12,  Gunner was best of winners under AKC judge Mr. Bradley Jenkins.

Gunner was reserve winners dog in Sedalia, Missouri on Sunday, July 5 under AKC judge Dawn Hansen.

Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was best of breed at the Kennel Club of Texarkana all breed dog show on June 14 under AKC judge Michele Billings.  Harmony was winners bitch for a five point major.  Carrie placed second in the bred by class.  Trudy won the 9-12 class.

The Papillon Club of America National Specialty in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, was a wonderful experience.  There were over 400 beautiful Papillons entered.  Gunner, Copella Armed and Dangerous, placed third in the 9-12 puppy class.  Smokey, CH Copella's Smoking Aces, made the first cut in best of breed.  Smokey is owned and handled by Jeanie Schmidt.  Peyton, BISS CH Copella's Rising Attraction, made the first two cuts in best of breed.  Dylan, BIS BISS CH Namaste Another Roadside Attraction, made all three cuts in best of breed. 
     Puppies sired by our dogs performed well at the specialty.  Zelicaon Honey Bear Amanti (Bear), bred and owned by Forrest Johnson, won Best in Sweepstakes and made the cut in the very large bred by class.  His sister, Zelicaon Heather Ascendra (Heather), placed fourth in bred by bitches.  Windlake Got Me On My Knees (Layla), bred and owned by Jackie Cantwell, placed second in the 6-9 puppy bitch class.  Forevr The Real McCoy, bred by Shirley Horn and Ruth Ann Ford and owned by Ruth Ann, placed second in the 12-18 class.  Bear, Heather, and Layla were sired by Dylan.  McCoy was sired by Ace, CH Meleys Wise Prince of Troy Connection.

Jodi, Horn's Royal USA Crown, finished her championship at the Denton Kennel Club show in Denton, Texas on Sunday, May 10.  The judge was Mr. Don Sutton.  Jodi is owned and bred by Shirley Horn and sired by our dog, Dylan, BIS BISS Namaste Another Roadside Attraction.  Addie, Horns Royal USA Attraction was reserve winners bitch.  Addie is a litter sister to Jodi, sired by our Dylan.

Roadie, Solaire Roadside Main Attraction, finished his championship on Saturday, May 9 at the Denton Kennel Club show in Denton, Texas.  The judge was Mr. Bradley Jenkins.  Roadie is owned and bred by June Aukerman.  Addie, Horns Royal USA Attraction was winners bitch.  Addie is owned and bred by Shirley Horn.  Addie and Roadie are sired by our dog Dylan, BIS BISS Namaste Another Roadside Attraction.

Peyton, CH Copella's Rising Attraction, was best of breed at the Papillon Club of Tulsa Specialty in Claremore, Oklahoma on March 27.  The specialty was judged by respected breeder judge, Jan Paulk.  Carrie, Copella Namaste Keeping Texas Pretty, was best opposite in the Sweepstakes, judged by Ms. Sherry Anderson.  Dylan, BIS BISS CH Namaste Another Roadside Attraction, received an award of merit and best stud dog.  Dylan is the sire of both Peyton and Carrie. 

Peyton and Smokey, CH Copella's Smoking Aces, received awards of merit at the second Tulsa Pap Specialty on March 28.  The judge was Ms. Margo Klinger.  Gunner, Copella Armed and Dangerous, was reserve winners dog.

Prana Copella Brace For Impact

Copella Papillons welcomes Troy.  Troy comes to us from Prana Papillons and is sired by our dog, Ace, CH Meleys Wise Prince of Troy Connection.  Thank you Mary Kendall Maginnis for sharing Troy with us.  Troy will make his debut in May, 2009, with his co-owner, Jeanie Schmidt.

New Litter:  Treasure and Dylan are the proud parents of three baby girls born on January 10 at 3:00 a.m.  All are doing well.

2009 started off "Smokin."  Smokey, CH Copella's Smoking Aces, won best of breed at the Nolan River Kennel Club show.  Smokey won the breed over five specials, two of which were ranked in the top three for 2008.  A big congratulations to Smokey and his owner/handler, Jeanie Schmidt.
